JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Linux team within Bitdefender is looking for a passionate software engineer to help bring new technologies into the current line of products (security for virtualized environments, file server security, e-mail security etc.).

JOB RESPONSABILITIES:

• · integrate Bitdefender's own technologies or from its partners (eg. VMware, Citrix etc.) into existing products;
• · help create new products;
• · work towards improving a development framework which stands at the base of several products;
• · interact with other teams, internal to Bitdefender or external;
• · analyze and fix various issues (bugs, improvements, feature requests etc.);
• · create unit tests;
• · review code from team members.

REQUESTS:

Qualifications:

• · 1 year working experience on Linux;
• · good knowledge of C/C++;
• · good understanding of sockets, threads, processes;
• · good knowledge of gcc;
• · good bug-fixing skills;

• · high personal standards and a passion for quality-driven development;
• · good knowledge of the English language;
• · quick learner;
• · self-motivated;

• · good knowledge of Python;
• · basic knowledge of SCons;
• · basic knowledge of MTA-s (eg. Postfix, Sendmail etc.);
