Forbes’ publishing platform has been hacked and an undisclosed number of members’ email accounts have been compromised.
In an e-mail to its members, Forbes says that credit card information remains safe. Passwords are not affected, yet the company advises users to change them if they are being used to sign in on other websites.
Until further notice, login functionality has been disabled, which means members cannot access their accounts or post any comments onsite.
The company also warns against phishing scams and adds that it will collaborate with law enforcement to solve the matter as quickly as possible.
Forbes is a bi-weekly American business magazine owned by Forbes, Inc.
