A group of hackers has defaced 720 random websites from around the world, including coffee shops (lafiestacafe.com), private metal industry companies (playsted.com), body repair vehicles (boss-d-bosses.fr) and German Evangelist schools (evangelische-schulen-in-deutschland.de), according to Hackread.com.
The hackers defaced the homepages of the privately-owned websites and left a mocking message, recommending administrators to strengthen their weak security because they can outsmart them:
“No matter how mafia you are, mess with the best, die like the rest!”
One of the hacking group’s members also posted his Twitter username and invited people to become fans of the AnonSec Facebook page.
This is the latest in a series of small-scale attacks the group has publicized on its social media accounts. AnonSec also announced its participation in a massive attack over Israeli cyber space on 7th April, 2014, the country’s national day.
Who killed the Internet? Were your devices involved in the massive attack that brought down Twitter, Netflix, Spotify and the NY Times? Next time, it might be worse. Find out more
