BitDefender Strikes OEM Deal With Microsoft Romania
BitDefender has struck a deal with Microsoft Romania, whereby those who purchase retail copies of Windows XP Home Edition in April 2005 will also receive 1-year licenses for BitDefender 8 Standard Edition, at no extra cost.
"I am thrilled at the prospect," declared Oliviu Talianu, BitDefender Country Manager for Romania "and I can see this deal expanding further. Windows XP Home Edition is a very popular product, and I am certain it will only gain in market share with the inclusion of a strong antivirus solution from BitDefender."
"One of Microsoft's core goals is to offer more and more value and security to customers. This OEM initiative is a step in that direction," stated Viorel Apetrei, Marketing Manager of Microsoft Romania.
The deal will come into effect at the beginning of April.
Pricing for BitDefender 8 Standard Edition normally starts at 30 EUR for a 1-year license.
