Financial Results Position BitDefender as World's Fastest Growing Antivirus Software Company in 2005

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., February 7, 2007, BitDefenderб╝, an award-winning provider of antivirus software and data security solutions, announced today that it has been positioned by industry research firm IDC as the world's fastest growing antivirus software vendor in its Worldwide Antivirus 2006-2010 Forecast Update and 2005 Vendor Analysis report.

With the continued threat of Trojans, viruses and worms, IDC expects the worldwide antivirus (AV) market to grow from $4.3 billion in 2005 to $7.3 billion in 2010, representing an 11 percent compound annual growth rate. And within 2007 alone, IDC expects a worldwide growth rate in the antivirus market of 13.6 percent1. BitDefender's worldwide antivirus software revenue grew a whopping 123.7 percent between 2004 and 2005, a rate faster than any other vendor in the global market. According to IDC's report, BitDefender's worldwide corporate antivirus revenue growth between 2004 and 2005 topped the list at 73 percent. Additionally, BitDefender had a worldwide consumer antivirus growth rate of 154.1 percent during the same period, giving them a 1.3 percent market share and making them the sixth biggest antivirus manufacturer in the consumer sector. Finally, BitDefender had a worldwide client-based antivirus revenue growth of 176.7 percent between 2004 and 2005, putting their growth rates ahead of other vendors in this market. While IDC's worldwide antivirus forecast positions BitDefender as the fastest growing antivirus vendor worldwide between 2004 and 2005, we have since grown our sales dramatically through new reseller partnerships, new deployments in major North American retail stores including Fry's and CompUSA.
