Bitdefender Sets New Record for Independent Security Testing
AV-TEST Confirms Bitdefender as Best Performing Product in 2011 Q2 Tests
BUCHAREST, Romania – August 2nd, 2011. Bitdefender, an award-winning provider of innovative Internet security solutions, has announced receiving a new record score from independent testing organisation AV-TEST. Undergoing assessment for protection, repair and usability, Bitdefender Internet Security 2011 is the only product to receive 17 points from a possible 18.
Ranked against twenty-one other security products, Bitdefender Internet Security 2011 obtained the maximum possible score for zero-day attacks and overall safety. The product also easily passed the infected computer cleaning and repairing test with 5.5 points, and when assessed for its impact on the usability of the whole computer, Bitdefender finished best in class.
This success follows the AV-TEST Q1 2011 results, which ranked Bitdefender Internet Security 2011 as the joint-best performer across protection, repair and performance categories and the only solution to receive a perfect 100% protection score.
