BitDefender Receives Advanced+ Certification
BitDefender receives the top certification from AV-Comparatives.org on the impact of anti-virus software on system performance
BitDefender╝, announced today that BitDefender Anti-Virus 11 received the top certification level from AV-Comparatives for its low impact on system performance.
AV-Comparatives performed tests on 16 antivirus products to determine which software had the least impact on system performance. AV-Comparatives used a 3-level ranking system: Standard, Advanced, and Advanced+. The test was broken into two parts. In the first, the test simulated various file operations that a computer user would execute such as, copying files from one place to another, archiving and unarchiving files and encoding and transcoding audio and video files. In the second part of the test, the system boot up and shutdown of the PC was analyzed to see what impact the anti-virus software had on the process.
