Social Networking Website Focuses on Children and Families

BitDefender, an award-winning provider of innovative internet security solutions, today announced the launch of BitMoms.com, an online community focused on promoting internet safety for children and families. Powered by BitDefender, BitMoms serves as a hub for conversations on internet safety topics, as well as online safety news.

BitMoms community members will find monthly article postings, focusing on topics ranging from secure online shopping to photo sharing. These monthly articles are researched by BitDefender security experts and posted exclusively in the BitMoms content library. New blogs and videos are uploaded several times per week created by Chief BitMom Leticia Barr, of TechSavvyMamma.com, and BitMoms community members. BitDefender encourages all mothers, regardless of their experience using the internet, to visit BitMoms.com. Members have the opportunity to engage in daily conversation about motherhood and online safety, as well asblog about their own experiences.

As a mom of two, tech expert and educator I am proud to serve as BitDefenders Chief BitMom and blogger, said Barr. With BitMoms.com, were really trying to provide a constructive place for moms to go, to talk about the issues we experience as part of our daily digital lives as well as a place to gather information, industry news and helpful tips to keep our families safe online.

This year, BitMoms will be attending BlogHer 2010, Blogalicious, and the Type-A-Mom Conference.
