Bitdefender detects wslib.dll

Detailed description:

On Thursday, October 15, 2009, Bitdefender had falsely detected one of its own files (wslib.dll) as infected. Although this issue was resolved within an hour, it is possible that Bitdefender had moved this file to quarantine, or completely erased it.

If this has occurred, you will receive an error message related to the Update module being unavailable, or the product will simply not start upon computer startup.

If one of the above cases occurred on your computer, please follow the steps listed below:

1. Restart your computer in Safe Mode with Networking (reboot press F8 repeatedly until you see a text menu. Select Safe Mode with Networking and press Enter. The process will end with a confirmation message and you need to press YES to acknowledge).

2. Download this patch that recovers our file on a convenient location on your hard disk drive.

3. Go to the location where you saved the file and run the patch. After the patch finishes, please reboot your PC.
