Upgrading to the BitDefender Management Server 3.0.4

Summary:

This article describes the process of upgrading the BitDefender Management Server3.0.2 and 3.0.3 to the last build and preserve the settings created.

Detailed description:

The upgrade from BitDefender Management Server 3.0.2 and 3.0.3 to version 3.0.4 can be performed automatically with the new patch which can be downloaded from here:

To install the patch you have to follow the next steps:
  1. Install the patch over the last Management Server kit.
If the server is installed on a 32-bit machine install the 32-bit patch. If the server is installed on a 64-bit machine install the 64-bit patch.
  2. Connect to the Management Server Console
You may experience a delay in connecting to the console. This is a normal behaviour, please wait, it should not take you more than few minutes to connect.
  3. Access the Dashboard section. You will find a job that reports the existence of clients that needs upgrading. Click on the job to fix the issue. After about one minute you will notice that the number of clients in the job gradually decreases as the clients are upgraded. The clients that are blocked or turned off during the upgrade process ordered in Dashboard will be upgraded automatically after they reboot.
