Bitdefender 9 uses a password protection for restricting the access of the unauthorized users to the product settings.
Bitdefender 9 allows regular users to modify the product settings. Previous versions of Bitdefender required administrative access rights in order to configure the product.
To enable the password protection:
For security reasons, it is recommended to type in a password of at least 8 characters in length.
To disable the password protection reconfigure the password protection and type in an empty password.

The method applies only to Windows 2000 and Windows XP. On computers running Windows 98 or Windows Me, restart the computer in and repair the product.
